Nikki Reynolds, Owner of End of the Rainbow, joined us in 2000.

DSC_2284-199x300Nikki Reynolds has focused her passion for children, community awareness and business savvy on giving new life to End of the Rainbow Childcare Center in Columbia, Missouri. Growing up, Nikki was always pretending to be a teacher. She started babysitting at a young age, and in college she worked part time in childcare at End of the Rainbow, with aspirations of someday owning her own preschool. When she graduated from college in 2003, she asked the owner of End of the Rainbow if she was interested in selling the business. The owner promoted her to lead teacher and assistant director, and Nikki began learning the day-to-day operations.

Two years later she and her husband, Jared, purchased End of the Rainbow. As the new owners, they began operating the business in December 2005, serving 56 children and employing seven full-time and four part-time staff members. Today, the center employs 21 full-time and 10 part-time staff members who care for 159 children.

Recognizing her amazing achievements in business, the Columbia Business Times named Nikki the Young Entrepreneur of the Year in May 2009. Nikki enjoys playing indoor and outdoor soccer, and participating in triathlons. She is a member of the Columbia Multisport Club, Columbia Chamber of Commerce and Women’s Network. Nikki is a mother of three boys.

Ginger is thankful for Nikki Reynolds, that supports education wholeheartedly. Nikki encouraged Ginger to get her CDA (Child Development Associate). Together they make a great team that helps End of the Rainbow be who they are today.

Ginger has been married for 17 years to her husband Kurt and they have two children, both of which went to End of the Rainbow. She has lived in Columbia for 25 years and plans to stay for a very long time.Facebooktwittergoogle_pluslinkedinmail
